APPLECROSS INN PRESS RELEASE 7th AUGUST 2020
Due to unprecedented customer demand since re-opening on 15th of July, the Inn wishes to advise ALL PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS, who are considering visiting the Inn for guest dining or bar service that UNLESS YOU HAVE A ROOM OR TABLE BOOKED IN ADVANCE, WE WILL BE UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE YOU DURING YOUR VISIT.
The information on our online booking systems is current and live so if there is no availability for your preferred option, and no other options are suitable for you, we will be unable to assist you this occasion. As such, you will have to consider other options for your accommodation or dining needs. We kindly request you please refrain from phoning or emailing us ‘just to check’ as we are processing dozens of similar requests and are currently unable to respond in a timely manner.
Please be advised though, our accommodation is already heavily booked until November and we are currently only open for August dining, and have limited availability left. All relevant information about accommodation and dining is on the website under the relevant sections so please have a read to see what your options are (these include other places to say and eat locally).
When we re-opened on the 15th of July, it was under a completely new set of Covid-19 specific policies and procedures. Ultimately this means we have limited options for guests and customer who wish to stay with us or dine/drink with us. This will be the case for the foreseeable future. The restrictions placed upon us under Covid-19 are designed to keep our guests, customers, staff and our very special and vulnerable community safe. This is of paramount important to us. Unfortunately, the excessive and unprecedented demand for our services, and visitors to the area, since re-opening, have completely overwhelmed us. Visitor numbers and demand was always the great unknown before re-opening but it is clear to us now that we are only able to cope with guests and customers who have a pre-booking with us. Our booking systems are designed to support our operations under Covid-19, so we are unable to work outwith or without them. So, unless you have a booking with us, please don’t come at the moment, as we cannot accommodate you safely so you will be disappointed on arrival.
Please know, the decision to restrict visitors to us has not been taken lightly or easily. Judith and the team at the Inn have welcomed everybody, from everywhere, unequivocally for 30+ years. However, the change in times due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which remains a threat, means we are currently unable to do so safely. Our priority is, and will continue to be, to keep our pre-booked guests, customers, staff and our community safe for the foreseeable future. Thank you for your support with this arrangement, we appreciate some will be disappointed. We look forward to welcoming you another time.
PLEASE NOTE, NEW COVD-19 ARRANGEMENTS APPLY TO ALL VISITORS TO US AT THE INN, DETAILS BELOW.
